Unearthing Community History: the heritage of Manila's Chinese Cemetery

Ivan holds two decades of experience working in the heritage and tourism field. He finished M.A. Cultural Heritage Studies from University of Santo Tomas in Manila and worked as a long-time trustee of the Manila-based Heritage Conservation Society where he implemented the organization’s various advocacy programs. Since 2005, he has led countless historical, cultural and architectural tours of Manila’s historic neighborhoods for the specialist tour outfit Old Manila Walks(www.oldmanilawalks.com). Ivan has various research interests in urban, cultural, design and Chinese diasporic histories.
